Location: REMOTE (client HQ in Colorado)
Terms: Direct Hire
Salary: $140-160,000/year DOE

What is the role?

This role architects, develops, and maintains the iOS native mobile application development.  Acting as the lead developer, you will work closely with Product Owners and UX Designers to put innovative designs and user experiences into motion. Our client focuses on easy-to-use interfaces and solutions that allow our members to easily access and move their money.  The systems that you will work with include online banking, origination systems and employee interfaces.

What will be expected of me?
 

  • Apply modern frameworks and architectures to business initiatives to help achieve Digital Experience goals.
  • Oversee all phases of the development life cycle including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, transition, and support.
  • Lead the ongoing development of our iOS mobile App from technical design to coding through to testing and deployment.
  • Collaborate with Web front-end and back-end teams.
  • Document all technical and system specifications. Experience building SDKs and integrations with clients, test applications and related documentations.
  • Partner with business owners, product owners, technical SMEs, technology architects, IT specialists, and operations staff to understand appropriate business strategies and objectives and ensue alignment of solutions to be developed.
  • Experience working on Agile teams with the scrum team member attitude, willingness to support the team to be successful in any area necessary.
  • Participate in business unit meetings sharing ideas, proposing solutions, and assisting in clarifying data queries, data analysis, and reports.
  • Advanced understanding of the business line and a growing understanding of the overall organization and competitive environment.
  • Able to handle problems that are difficult and sometimes complex.
  • Be a technical pillar for the engineering team through collaboration and mentorship of other engineers.
  • Analyze the technical feasibility of product features and help guide feature development.
  • Ability to influence timelines, expectations, and proactively negotiate within department.

What I’m bringing…

Experience/Education:

  • 6+ years’ experience working in an IT development capacity.
  • 5+ years of professional iOS development experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in mobile development and native applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred or equivalent years of related development work experience.

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have Objective-C and strong Swift experience.
  • Must have Apps in the app store or an ability to display past work.
  • Resolve defects, support testing effort, and deploy to production on a frequent basis. Troubleshoot and resolve defects that are found by our customers and beta testers.
  • Self-motivated and self-managed with high degree of analytical ability and intellectual curiosity.
  • Knowledge of Android applications development is a plus.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Must maintain high-level of confidentiality
  • Understand best practices of iOS app design and supporting iPhone and iPad layouts via Storyboards.
  • Must have deep understanding of databases with SQLite, Realm, etc.
  • Experience with AWS and/or NodeJS is a plus.
  • Experience integrating with REST web services into the applications.
  • Knowledge and experience of the entire application stack, from mobile app, web app, application logic and SQL is a plus.
  • Fundamentals in OO and distributed architectural design patterns.
  • Desire to be excellent and lead mobile CoE across the enterprise.
  • Can be accountable for managing projects/processes, working independently with limited supervision.
  • Acts autonomously on most decisions.  Requires guidance on more complex judgments.
