Field Support Engineer


Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of installing, configuring and administrating Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, Active Directory, and DNS troubleshooting
  • High level of oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with senior managers
  • Work under pressure and think clearly in challenging situations in a logical manner
  • Flexible in approach with fluid organizational structure that requires both teamwork and self-sufficiency

 

 

Experience Needed:

  • Track tickets in ITSM ticketing System
  • Experience working in healthcare, medical imaging or Cisco networking a plus
  • Apply knowledge of technologies including Microsoft, Infrastructure Networks, thin client technologies, server virtualization and understanding of additional software

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Delivering IT and related assistance upon request, or as you deem suitable
  • Configuring new desktops, routers, modems, and similar devices
  • Updating computer operating systems and other important software, as needed
  • Substantiating requests for hardware and software purchases and upgrades, if appropriate
  • Resolving network issues
  • Speaking to customers to quickly get to the root of their problem
  • Providing support in the form of procedural documentation
  • Managing multiple cases at one time
