Job Title: Windows 11 Upgrade Specialist
Location: Aurora, CO (225 & Colfax)
Terms: 6 month contract
Rate: $28/hour

We are looking for a detail-oriented Windows 11 Upgrade Specialist to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and supporting the upgrade of existing systems to Windows 11. You will work closely with users to ensure a smooth transition while minimizing disruption to operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Upgrades:
    • Execute Windows 11 installations, configurations, and migrations.
    • Ensure proper data backup and recovery procedures are in place before upgrades.
  • User Support:
    • Provide technical assistance and support to users during the upgrade process.
    • Address and troubleshoot issues related to Windows 11 functionality and compatibility.
  • Training and Documentation:
    • Document upgrade processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work with IT team members to identify and resolve any upgrade-related challenges.
    • Liaise with software vendors to ensure all critical applications are compatible with Windows 11.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • 2+ years of experience in desktop support, system administration, or a related IT role.
    • Proven experience with Windows operating systems, particularly Windows 10 and 11.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of Windows 11 features, functionalities, and best practices.
    • Familiarity with system imaging and deployment tools (e.g., SCCM, MDT).
  • Certifications:
    • Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE) are a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
