Facilities Support Technician
Our client is a member-focused financial institution dedicated to providing personalized banking services and financial solutions to its members. Based in Denver, CO, our client has been serving its community since the 1930’s, with a commitment to helping members achieve their financial goals through a broad range of products and services.
This role leads and supports the operation, inspection and maintenance of building systems and equipment in our owned and leased buildings across the Denver Metro area.
Location: Cherry Creek, CO (travel to various sites from Castle Rock to Arvada)
Terms: 3+ Month Contract
Compensation: $27/hr and up (based on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance and repairs at client's headquarters, leased branches, and other owned properties.
- Respond to work tickets from employees and tenants in a timely manner
- Assist with vendor scheduling, escorting, and provide oversight to completion of work orders and service.
- Assist with inventory control throughout the HQ and branches.
- Assist in supply ordering and procurement
- Work with other departments (retail, IT, HR, security, etc.) to ensure each facility a place everyone is proud to come work in
- Coordinate/assist with internal staff moves and furniture repairs when needed
- Perform daily property inspections of the headquarters building and grounds as well as regular inspections of each branch and owned properties. Assist in parking garage/lot and grounds maintenance
- Maintain adherence to OSHA training and regulations
- General assistance with projects as required
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency response
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience:
- 4+ years’ experience in building engineering and maintenance in an office or retail setting, preferably including a thorough understanding of and experience working on HVAC (cooling towers, VAV boxes, distribution, pumps, motors, etc.), building automation systems, plumbing, elevators, fire and life safety equipment, preventive maintenance, electrical and general building/grounds maintenance.
- The ability to interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Valid Colorado driver’s license and the ability to travel between branch locations in the Denver Metro area, with your own dependable vehicle or one of our fleet vehicles.
- Enthusiastic and energetic and friendly – You will be the main contact and “face” for many of our outside relationships and to our internal clients (our branches), and anything less than a can-do, helpful attitude will not suffice. You need strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Sense of urgency and ownership – We are a fun, fast-moving and busy group that is growing. We need a teammate who takes ownership and has the desire to get things done.
- Flexibility – No two days will be the same, so the ability to go with the flow is a must. Know that your daily plan might get changed and be adaptable
Experience/Education:
- 2+ years’ experience in facilities in an office or retail setting, preferably including a basic understanding of light maintenance and repairs, janitorial, security and stocking.

Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and have extensive experience with a variety of email and web-based applications.
- Angus ticketing system experience a plus.
- Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to learn and demonstrate that learning on the job
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Must maintain high level of confidentiality.
- A desire to learn and grown in the Real Estate/Facilities field.
- Accountable for medium-term tasks and many recurring basic initiatives. Works under moderate supervision.
- Use of judgement related to administrative issues
- Understanding of straightforward, administrative, and/or other basic produces and services.
- Able to handle problems that are typically of a routine nature, but may at times require interpretation or deviation from standard procedures.
