The Opportunity
As the Manager of Projects – Engineering, you’ll oversee a talented team and lead the planning, design, and construction of high-voltage transmission, substations, distribution systems, and major capital projects. You’ll build processes, drive efficiency, and ensure safe, reliable delivery of electricity across diverse and challenging environments — from urban Anchorage to remote Alaskan landscapes.
Your leadership will directly impact the stability and growth of Alaska’s energy future.
What You’ll Do

Direct and mentor a team of project and site engineers.

Lead design and construction of transmission, substation, and distribution facilities.

Oversee budgets, schedules, contracts, and procurement for multi-million-dollar projects.

Implement project management best practices to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.

Collaborate with state and municipal agencies on system upgrades, interconnections, and relocations.

Provide regular reporting and presentations to leadership on financials, progress, and risk.

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and engineering standards.
What We’re Looking For

Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering required (electrical preferred). PE license in Alaska (or ability to obtain within one year) highly desired. PMP or advanced degree in project management a plus.

Experience: Minimum 5 years in engineering design or construction, with at least 3 years in supervisory project management. High-voltage (115kV+) experience preferred.

Skills: Strong knowledge of utility systems, NESC/OSHA requirements, and cold-weather operations. Demonstrated success leading complex projects and teams.
