Manager, IT Infrastructure and Operations
Manager, IT Infrastructure & Operations
Hybrid Cloud | Hands-On Leadership | Enterprise Modernization
Location: Denver, CO (on-site, downtown)
Salary: $160,000-180,000 + Benefit Package
The Opportunity
This is not a traditional infrastructure management role.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who still loves to build—while shaping the future of a modern, hybrid enterprise environment moving from data center ? cloud.
You’ll operate as a servant leader and technical anchor for the team: mentoring engineers, raising the bar, and stepping in directly when needed. At the same time, you’ll have a seat at the table—helping define infrastructure strategy, modernization roadmaps, and long-term architectural direction.
If you’ve been through a cloud transformation and want to do it again—this time with more ownership and influence—this is that opportunity.
What You’ll Own
Hybrid Infrastructure Leadership
- Lead the design, operation, and evolution of a hybrid infrastructure environment (on-prem + Azure cloud)
- Drive the transition from traditional data center models to scalable, cloud-first architecture
- Ensure systems are resilient, secure, and built to scale
Hands-On Technical Contribution
- Stay close to the work—this is not a “sit back and delegate” role
- Jump in on architecture, troubleshooting, and complex system challenges
- Act as the technical escalation point for high-impact issues
Servant Leadership & Team Development
- Mentor and develop a multi-disciplinary infrastructure team
- Assess team strengths, identify gaps, and elevate overall capability
- Create a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Balance being a coach with being a contributor
Cloud Transformation & Strategy
- Play a key role in data center ? cloud migration strategy and execution
- Partner with leadership to align infrastructure with business and growth goals
- Evaluate current systems and drive modernization initiatives
Operational Excellence
- Own service reliability across network, systems, identity, and cloud platforms
- Establish and evolve SLAs, KPIs, and operational metrics
- Build and refine runbooks, automation, and monitoring systems
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts
Cross-Functional Influence
- Partner with application, security, service desk, and leadership teams
- Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and vendor decisions
- Act as a bridge between technical execution and business priorities
