Build the Next Chapter of Enterprise Cloud Modernization
Location: Denver, CO
On-site
Salary: $155-175K

We’re partnered with a highly stable, well-capitalized organization investing heavily in modernizing and scaling its Azure cloud environment. This is a high-impact opportunity for a senior-level Azure engineer who enjoys balancing hands-on technical work with architecture, automation, and long-term platform strategy.
The environment is large, complex, and enterprise-grade — but the team itself operates with a collaborative, low-ego mentality. They’re looking for someone who wants to own meaningful infrastructure initiatives, influence technical direction, and help shape how cloud is done moving forward.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys modernization work, building scalable cloud foundations, and operating across infrastructure, identity, networking, and security in a highly visible environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, build, and optimize Azure infrastructure across compute, networking, storage, and platform services
- Help lead enterprise cloud transformation initiatives focused on modernization, scalability, reliability, and automation
- Build and improve Azure landing zones, governance strategy, subscription architecture, and shared services
- Partner closely with infrastructure, security, and architecture teams to align cloud strategy with broader business goals
- Drive Infrastructure-as-Code and automation initiatives using tools like Terraform, PowerShell, Bicep, ARM, and Azure CLI
- Support hybrid cloud environments and enterprise integrations across Azure and Microsoft 365 ecosystems
- Contribute to identity and access strategy leveraging Entra ID, RBAC, MFA, Conditional Access, and Zero Trust principles
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex production and operational issues
- Mentor engineers and help elevate cloud engineering best practices across the organization
What They’re Looking For
- Deep hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure across networking, compute, storage, identity, and monitoring
- Strong background supporting enterprise-scale Azure and Microsoft 365 environments
- Experience with Azure landing zones, governance models, and cloud security best practices
- Familiarity with automation and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts using Terraform, PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar tooling
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts including hybrid connectivity, ExpressRoute, VPNs, DNS, load balancing, NSGs, and hub-and-spoke architectures
- Experience supporting modernization and cloud migration initiatives in large environments
- Comfortable operating in highly available, security-conscious production environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work across infrastructure, cloud, and operational domains
- Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and the ability to work across technical and business stakeholders
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
- Major investment into Azure modernization and cloud transformation
- Stable environment with long-term technical initiatives already underway
- Strong work-life balance compared to many enterprise cloud teams
- High visibility and ownership without excessive bureaucracy
- Opportunity to help shape cloud strategy instead of simply maintaining infrastructure
- Collaborative leadership team that values technical input and engineering partnership
- Direct-hire position with long-term growth opportunity
Compensation
- Target compensation: $155,000–$175,000 base salary
- Strong benefits package included
