Senior ERP Technical Analyst – JD Edwards
Senior ERP Technical Analyst – JD Edwards
Denver, CO – Hybrid | Full-Time | Direct Hire | $170.000 – 180,000
Some ERP roles are about keeping the system running. This one is about understanding how the entire ecosystem works — and making it better.
We’re looking for a highly technical Senior ERP Technical Analyst who knows JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and is equally comfortable getting into C#, SQL, integrations, automation, and modern Microsoft technologies.
This is not a traditional functional analyst role, and it’s not a pure software development job. The sweet spot is someone who understands JDE deeply, can get into the code and data when needed, and genuinely enjoys figuring out complicated technical problems.
If you’re naturally curious, like learning new technology, and tend to become the person everyone calls when something weird is happening between systems, this could be a really good fit.
What You'll Be Doing
You’ll be part of the team responsible for a broad enterprise applications environment centered around JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
Your work will include:
- Supporting, troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne environment
- Using C#/.NET to support and enhance applications, integrations, utilities, and other solutions surrounding the ERP environment
- Working extensively with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL for troubleshooting, analysis, reporting, data manipulation, and integrations
- Understanding JDE database structures and tracing data across interconnected systems
- Using JDE development and administration tools including FDA, RDA, OMW, UDCs, Security, E1 Pages, CafeOne, and UDOs
- Building, supporting, and troubleshooting integrations between JD Edwards and other enterprise applications
- Working with business users to understand requirements and translate complicated problems into practical technical solutions
- Supporting custom applications and enhancements within a highly customized JDE environment
- Helping modernize existing systems through automation and newer Microsoft technologies
- Working with Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and other Power Platform technologies
- Exploring practical ways to incorporate AI and Copilot technologies into business processes and technical workflows
- Supporting data warehouse and reporting initiatives, including exposure to Microsoft Fabric and Azure-based technologies
- Partnering with vendors and other internal technology teams on application development and enhancement projects
- Troubleshooting production issues and digging into problems that don't always have an obvious answer
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation
- Supporting testing, change management, and production releases
- Providing Tier 2 application support when deeper technical expertise is needed
What We're Looking For
The biggest requirement is straightforward:
You need real JD Edwards EnterpriseOne experience.
Beyond that, we're looking for someone with a broad technical toolkit rather than a narrowly specialized developer.
Ideally, you bring:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience working with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, preferably E1 9.x or newer
- Strong understanding of JDE architecture, database structures, technical foundations, and development tools
- Hands-on experience with C#/.NET
- Strong SQL and T-SQL skills
- Experience troubleshooting complex application and data issues
- Experience working with integrations between JDE and other enterprise applications
- Understanding of core JDE Financial modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Address Book, Job Cost, and Fixed Assets
- Experience working in a customized JDE environment rather than exclusively supporting an out-of-the-box implementation
- Ability to work comfortably across applications, databases, integrations, reporting, and automation
- Strong requirements-gathering and problem-solving skills
- The communication skills to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders
A four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is helpful, but equivalent experience matters just as much.
The Extras We'd Love to See
You absolutely don't need everything on this list. This is where technical curiosity and breadth become valuable.
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Microsoft Azure
- Microsoft Fabric / data warehousing
- Power BI
- Power Automate
- Power Apps
- Copilot Studio or other AI technologies
- Nintex
- JDE Orchestrator
- BI Publisher
- REST or SOAP web services
- JavaScript
- GitHub
- SharePoint
- Perceptive document management
- OneStream
- Data integration technologies
- User lifecycle management
We're also interested in people who are actively experimenting with AI tools and emerging technology. You don't need to be an AI engineer. We simply want someone who's curious enough to ask, “Could we use this to solve the problem better?”
Who Will Thrive Here
The technology matters, but mindset matters just as much.
You'll probably enjoy this role if you're someone who:
- Is naturally curious and loves learning
- Wants ownership rather than a narrowly defined lane
- Likes getting underneath a problem instead of immediately escalating it
- Can bounce between ERP, code, SQL, integrations, reporting, and automation
- Enjoys figuring out how different systems connect
- Isn't intimidated by a complex or highly customized environment
- Communicates well with people who aren't deeply technical
- Can work independently without disappearing into a silo
- Likes introducing better ways of doing things
- Gets energized by new technology instead of resisting it
You don't need to be the world's best C# developer, DBA, cloud engineer, or Power Platform developer.
You do need enough technical depth to work confidently across those areas while bringing strong JD Edwards experience to the table.
Why This Role Is Interesting
This is an opportunity to work with a mature, business-critical ERP environment without being stuck maintaining yesterday's technology.
JD Edwards remains at the center of the ecosystem, but the surrounding environment continues to evolve through Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, automation, integrations, AI, and modern development tools. The person who joins this team will have room to learn those technologies, influence how they're used, and take meaningful ownership of increasingly important systems.
For the right person, this is a chance to become a true technical SME — not just for JD Edwards, but for the broader enterprise application environment surrounding it.
If you know JD Edwards, can work comfortably in C# and SQL, and you're the kind of technical person who never really stops learning, we'd love to talk.
