Epic Placements is partnering with a respected healthcare organization in Charleston, SC to identify a Talent Acquisition Specialist for a 13-week contract assignment with strong potential for permanent hire.

This is not just a recruiter role — this is a strategic, consultative position supporting hard-to-fill clinical and leadership teams. You’ll serve as the primary recruitment partner to assigned departments, working closely with operational leaders to attract high-quality talent in specialized healthcare areas.

This assignment supports a leave of absence and requires a quick onboarding timeline. Candidates must be prepared to move efficiently through credentialing and be open to potential permanent employment if the fit is right.


What You’ll Do

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned clinical and specialty areas

  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans using both active and passive recruiting techniques

  • Source talent through job boards, social media platforms, networking, and targeted outreach

  • Serve as the primary recruitment contact for department leaders

  • Partner with hiring managers to identify barriers, improve hiring workflows, and implement best practices

  • Provide data-informed recommendations to enhance hiring outcomes

  • Ensure compliance with recruitment policies and applicable employment regulations

  • Maintain accurate documentation within the applicant tracking system (Workday experience preferred)

  • Wound Care

  • Nursing Supervisors

  • Transplant

  • Surgical Specialty & Spine

  • MSK (Musculoskeletal)

  • Nursing Administration

  • Magnet & Nursing Excellence

  • Clinical Education

Healthcare recruitment experience in these areas is highly beneficial.


What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience (One of the following):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field and at least 1 year of full-cycle recruitment experience

  • OR Bachelor’s Degree plus 2 years of related experience (college recruitment, marketing, project management, sales, or agency staffing)

  • OR High School Diploma and at least 2 years of full-cycle recruitment experience

Certifications:

  • PHR or SHRM-CP strongly preferred

  • Certification may substitute for one year of experience

Additional Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to build and execute recruiting strategies

  • Strong stakeholder partnership and communication skills

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment

  • Experience with Workday or similar ATS systems

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and urgency
