Video Instructional Designer – Contract (Remote)
Contract Length: 5 months
Compensation: $40/hour
Location: 100% Remote
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Video Production Specialist to create engaging animated simulation videos and multimedia e-learning modules. These materials will support an organizational initiative to train over 7,600 team members in recognizing workplace violence risks and applying effective de-escalation techniques. Your work will directly contribute to safer, healing-centered environments for both patients and families.
This is a contract role (5 months) offering the flexibility of remote work, while providing a meaningful opportunity to shape how thousands of professionals learn critical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop animated simulation videos and interactive multimedia learning modules for a large-scale workplace violence prevention initiative.
- Translate concepts and scenarios into compelling, educational content that resonates with healthcare professionals and family-facing team members.
- Utilize Articulate software and other video production tools to design and deliver engaging online training experiences.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure content aligns with organizational strategy and training objectives.
- Independently manage production timelines, from concept to delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum 5 years of professional video production experience.
- Minimum 5 years developing multimedia online learning modules.
- Minimum 3 years of experience using Articulate software.
- Access to and proficiency with video production software to create high-quality animated simulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Equivalent combination of education, certifications, and related experience totaling 9+ years may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.
