We’re partnering with Synoptek to find a senior-level SharePoint infrastructure consultant who can lead a true end-to-end modernization engagement — upgrading a SharePoint 2013 on-prem environment (including Microsoft Project Web App) to SharePoint Server Subscription Edition (SE) or SharePoint Server 2019.

This isn’t a “support role.”
This is a strategy-to-go-live leadership engagement.

We’re looking for someone who can walk in, assess, architect, propose, execute, and deliver — all the way through production cutover and stabilization.

What You’ll Own

You’ll lead the engagement from discovery through go-live:

  • Run deep-dive discovery workshops

  • Assess SharePoint 2013 farm architecture and Project Web App (PWA)

  • Evaluate SQL configurations, integrations, customizations, and dependencies

  • Define the optimal upgrade path (SharePoint 2019 or Subscription Edition)

  • Build the technical proposal (scope, risks, assumptions, estimates, timelines)

  • Architect the target environment (infrastructure, service apps, security)

  • Execute the upgrade: environment build, DB migration, remediation

  • Coordinate across infra, DBA, security, and networking teams

  • Drive QA, system testing, integration validation, and UAT

  • Plan and lead production cutover (with rollback strategy)

  • Deliver post-go-live stabilization and knowledge transfer

What We’re Looking For

  • Deep hands-on experience with SharePoint 2013 on-prem upgrades

  • Strong expertise with SharePoint Server 2019 and/or Subscription Edition

  • Experience upgrading environments hosting Project Web App (PWA) / Project Server

  • Advanced knowledge of SharePoint farm architecture, service applications, and SQL dependencies

  • Strong documentation and proposal-writing skills

  • Ability to lead workshops and present to technical and business stakeholders

  • Experience planning and executing production cutovers

  • Comfortable operating independently in a fully remote engagement
