We’re partnering with Synoptek to find a senior-level SharePoint infrastructure consultant who can lead a true end-to-end modernization engagement — upgrading a SharePoint 2013 on-prem environment (including Microsoft Project Web App) to SharePoint Server Subscription Edition (SE) or SharePoint Server 2019.
This isn’t a “support role.”
This is a strategy-to-go-live leadership engagement.
We’re looking for someone who can walk in, assess, architect, propose, execute, and deliver — all the way through production cutover and stabilization.

What You’ll Own
You’ll lead the engagement from discovery through go-live:

Run deep-dive discovery workshops

Assess SharePoint 2013 farm architecture and Project Web App (PWA)

Evaluate SQL configurations, integrations, customizations, and dependencies

Define the optimal upgrade path (SharePoint 2019 or Subscription Edition)

Build the technical proposal (scope, risks, assumptions, estimates, timelines)

Architect the target environment (infrastructure, service apps, security)
-
Execute the upgrade: environment build, DB migration, remediation

Coordinate across infra, DBA, security, and networking teams

Drive QA, system testing, integration validation, and UAT
-
Plan and lead production cutover (with rollback strategy)

Deliver post-go-live stabilization and knowledge transfer

What We’re Looking For

Deep hands-on experience with SharePoint 2013 on-prem upgrades

Strong expertise with SharePoint Server 2019 and/or Subscription Edition

Experience upgrading environments hosting Project Web App (PWA) / Project Server
-
Advanced knowledge of SharePoint farm architecture, service applications, and SQL dependencies
-
Strong documentation and proposal-writing skills
-
Ability to lead workshops and present to technical and business stakeholders

Experience planning and executing production cutovers

Comfortable operating independently in a fully remote engagement
