Network Engineer (Contract-to-Hire)
Colorado (Hybrid – 80% Remote / 20% On-Site at Hospitals & Clinics)

About the Role
Epic Placements is seeking an experienced Network Engineer for a healthcare enterprise in Colorado. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, large-scale environment and enjoys both hands-on fieldwork and strategic network design. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining secure, high-performing connectivity across hospital and clinic locations.
This is an 80% remote position, but regular on-site work and regional travel within Colorado are required.
Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and support Cisco network infrastructure, including routing and switching using EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.

Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Cisco wireless networks.

Perform hands-on installation, repair, and maintenance of network hardware and cabling.

Manage and troubleshoot WAN technologies such as MPLS, Metro Ethernet (MOE), and Optical Wave.

Collaborate with cross-functional IT and clinical teams to ensure network performance and uptime across healthcare environments.
Preferred Technical Skills
Experience in two or more of the following areas is strongly preferred:

Adds, changes, and troubleshooting of Cisco ACI Data Center solutions.

Configuration and management of Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama for user or Site-to-Site VPNs.

Cisco Meraki deployment and support.

Use of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for access management.

Administration of Cisco Catalyst Center and/or SolarWinds for device monitoring and management.

Optical Networking using the Cisco ONS platform.
Qualifications

8–10+ years of professional network engineering experience.

Enterprise-scale environment experience required; healthcare background preferred.

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage priorities across multiple locations and projects.

Must reside in Colorado with willingness to travel regionally.
