Title:                     Desktop Support
Location:              Casper, Wyoming
Compensation:     $30-$40 hourly DOE
Shift:                     6:30 AM- 3:00 PM

We have a great client in the oil and gas industry that is looking to add a Desktop Support Technician to their team in Casper, Wyoming. At the main office you will be assisting 200 users with a wide range of technical support needs. There are also 4 field office locations (Wright, Wilkinson, Gillette and Vernal) that will require some travel to provide support as needed.

Description:
Identify, log, and resolve technical problems with software applications and computer hardware.

  • To set up and manage user accounts and permissions to consent access to a network
  • Upholding and testing security, blocking unapproved access to the network, company assets, and facilities
  • Update and maintain computer inventory and equipment
  • Maintain and resolve issues on LAN, VoIP telephone, AV systems connections
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software
  • Endorse and apply upgrades to systems to ensure durability
  • Assess functional needs to regulate system purchase specifications
  • Resolve hardware and network connectivity issues
  • Validate & approve VPN access for all remote users
  • Assist in technical upgrading and maintenance of entire desktop systems
  • Support in testing and deployment of new applications and systems
  • Train and guide staff in acceptable hardware and software usage
  • Travel as needed to meet remote locations technical needs. Overnight trips are rare and will be additionally compensated.

  • DHCP
  • Microsoft Windows Server
