We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible General Gastroenterologist to join a growing and collaborative GI program in the Boston area. This position offers the rare balance of community-based clinical practice supported by the resources and academic environment of a major teaching institution.

This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who values strong clinical autonomy, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the option to engage in academic medicine — without being required to.


What You’ll Do

  • Provide outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology care

  • Perform routine endoscopic procedures including EGD and colonoscopy

  • Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of GI conditions such as:

    • GERD

    • Liver disease

    • IBS & IBD

    • GI bleeding

  • Participate in a rotating inpatient call schedule

  • Collaborate with tertiary GI specialists for advanced referrals

  • Work alongside advanced practice providers, GI nursing staff, and anesthesia support


Optional Academic Involvement

For those interested, opportunities may include:

  • Teaching medical students and residents

  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives

  • Engaging in research or scholarly collaboration

Academic engagement is welcomed but not required.


What We’re Looking For

  • MD or DO from an accredited institution

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology

  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited GI Fellowship

  • Eligible for medical licensure in Massachusetts

  • Strong procedural and diagnostic skills

  • Patient-centered clinical philosophy

  • Excellent communication and collaborative abilities
